We recently bought a new, larger grill/smoker last year and ever since, we have been grilling or smoking our meats 3-4 times per week! We decided to cut back on the amount of fried foods we eat in an effort to eat healthier and not only are we doing that, but I also don’t have a huge mess in the kitchen to clean up afterwards! I love to cook, don’t get me wrong, it’s just the cleaning up part that I am not very fond of!
We were recently contacted by the Certified Steak and Seafood Company with the opportunity to review 3 products of our choice! However choosing was very hard from so many amazing products, but we finally narrowed down our choices to the 24 oz. Angus Porterhouse steak, the 7 oz. Red Grouper Filet and the 2 lbs of Easy Peel Shrimp. This was the first time I had ever ordered perishable food, so I was a little anxious to see how it would arrive.
Our items arrived quickly and were shipped safely which is always nice when things come through how you’d expect them too. Everything arrived frozen, carefully packed in a styrofoam cooler with dry ice. This way they can go directly into the freezer until you are ready to cook them! Certified Steak and Seafood Company carries some of the finest meats and seafood available! As an extra measure of confidence in the company and their products, they have a 3rd party test all of the products for any adulteration or contamination to ensure that their customers only receive products that are pure and wholesome.
The 24 oz Angus Porterhouse was the largest steak I have ever seen! We love our steaks aged and this one was aged for 27 days! It was so tender and tasted better than any steak we have had in a very, long time! They sent two of the 7 oz Red Grouper Filets, which we grilled with the steak. I love grouper fried or grilled and as expected, this grouper was soooo good! The 2 lbs of EZ Peel Shrimp were jumbo sized shrimp and contained 23 jumbo sized shrimp.
In the UK we have to take advantage of the good weather when it comes along and as soon as the sun appears it is definitely barbeque time. Trying to plan ahead to make sure you aren’t fighting for the last pack of sausages in the supermarket is a good idea and investing in a quality grill like we did is a must.
